CV Joints • Grease • Drive Shaft

The CV joints (constant velocity joints), lets your drive shaft transfer torque to your wheels while in motion.  The CV joint allows the up and down motion of your suspension.  You’ll find CV joints in most types of vehicles.  These include four-wheel and rear-wheel drive vehicles.   Your CV joints are protected inside a rubber boot.  The rubber boot protects the CV joints from moisture, dirt and other debris.

Your CV joints are packed with grease.   This helps your CV joint to move without interruption.  If the rubber boot protecting your CV joints becomes cracked or split, problems will happen.  Cracks and splits allow grease to fall out.  Dirt and moisture will take its place.  A lack of protective grease causes your CV joints to wear and corrode faster.  Prolonged driving with worn CV joints will cause your CV shafts to be replaced.  And it can be destroyed while driving, causing your vehicle to stop.  Protect your CV joints with our CV joints service.
